During my first year at The Ohio State University, I completed Design Foundations courses to establish a strong background in the elements and principles of design, illustration, and crafting skills before continuing to my current Visual Communication Design classes. Below are some of the pieces I completed during this time. My full Design Foundations portfolio with more information on each composition can be found here.

A custom flag designed and crafted for an upperclassman mentor. Made with clear acrylic, spray paint, and wire.

A 3D, multilayered paper lantern projecting an abstract representation of mold. Created for a group project around the concept of decay.

A laser-cut wood "N" symbol containing an ASL "I love you" handshape.

A series of illustrations showing the infinite loop of making a cup of tea, forgetting about it, and dumping it out.

Alternate angle of tea illustration project, showcasing 2/6 double-sided illustrations.

A set of three greeting cards with a 3D butterfly pattern and window-shaped case.

Detail photo demonstrating the card's removal from the window form.

Illustrated walkthrough of the oboe reedmaking process.
